WHO IS COMING?

The wheel of the year is turning. Fall is coming. And you are invited to the most magical Fall Equinox ceremony!

MAYIC FORECAST

The Fall Equinox, also known as the Autumnal Equinox or Mabon, is the moment when the sun crosses the celestial equator and day and night are of equal length. And it marks the official start of the Fall season in the Northern Hemisphere.

For millennia, the Fall Equinox has been celebrated by various cultures, civilizations and our abuelitas throughout history as a time of harvest, abundance, and balance. It signifies a transition from the warmth and growth of Summer to the cooler, more introspective period of Fall.

In many traditions, the Fall Equinox is a time for giving thanks for the bounties of the harvest, for reflecting on the balance between light and darkness, and for preparing for the coming winter months, literally and metaphorically speaking. It is a time to honor the cycles of nature, the changing seasons, and the interconnectedness of all living things.

Indeed, the Fall Equinox is a time of celebration, gratitude, and spiritual reflection, reminding us of the importance of harmony, balance, and connection with the natural world.

ALTAR OFFERING

  • An altar offering is a gift or item that is presented at an altar as a token of respect, gratitud or devotion.
  • It can be seeds, beans, flowers (fresh or dried), leafs (fresh or dried), a poem or prayer, coins, spices, fruits, vegetables or anything you are called to offer.
  • Altar offerings are commonly used in ceremony as a way to connect with our ancestors, seek blessings or show reverence to the Divine.
  • Please keep in mind, your offering will not go back home will you, it will return to the land, intentionally and ceremoniously.
  • Do not overthink this assignment. Resist the urge to over-plan and over-perform this. Instead drop in to your heart and follow your intuition.
  • Notice any feelings that surface as you prepare to make your offering. Don’t judge, just witness. This is part of your initiation.
